Designed for the demands of the seasoned and demanding traveler, our newly built mansion, in the style of the local architecture, rests on the edge of an enchanting vineyard, where we cultivate wine varieties like Merlot and Cabernet Franc with care and devotion to excellence.
Offering all the comforts of a luxurious countryside retreat, personal services and serenity, Estate Kalaitzis is located in the small village of Metochi Prodromou, 4 km from the town of Vergina. It is at the foothills of Pieria and Vermion mountain ranges, overlooking the Imathia valley and the artificial lake of the river Aliakmonas.
The hotel consists of 11 eloquently decorated rooms all equipped with air conditioning, free internet access, hairdryer, flat screen TVs and complimentary toiletries and amenities.
Facilities include a large free parking area, main lobby café-bar, wine cellar, an atmospheric multi-function room, ideal for private and corporate events alike, all situated on the picturesque setting of a magnificent garden and 2 acre vineyard.

Cultural Sites
Our hotel is situated in an area with rich archaelogical history that spans over 2500 years. It is only 4 kms from the ancient site of Aigai (Vergina), an archaelogical site designated as a world Heritage Site by Unesco, the first capital of the Macedonian Kingdom, the place where you can find Alexander the Great's palace and Philip II's tomb.
Also nearby are the archaelogical sites of Levkadia, Pella and Dion.
This area has a lot of sites concerning religious places of interest with the nearest being the monastery of Timios Prodromos, which dates back to the 14th century, a site with important history and a magnificent view of the river Aliakmonas.
Only 25 kms from our hotel is the Holy monastery of Panagia Soumela, which is the religious center for Pontiac Greeks all over the world.
In the town of Veria stands the Tribune of Apostle Paul who came to Veria 2000 years ago.
Additionally there are 78 Byzantine and post-Byzantine churches, Ottoman religious monuments, as well as the oldest Jewish Synagogue in Northern Greece, proof that the city was an important religious crossroad and the reason that it is called "Little Jerousalem".
Wineries Tour
The hotel is situated in an area with great history in wine, especially at the town of Naousa where the guest can visit up to 25 different wineries and taste the famous Xinomavro variety of red wine, which is cultivated only in this region.
Leisure Activities
This area offers a great variety of different activities. During the winter season the guest can visit the ski resorts of Seli, 3-5 Pigadia, Kaimaktsalan and Elatochori, which are only 25-45 kms away.
Guests can also enjoy hiking around the lake or in even more demanding routes, like the path of Alexander the Great and even part of E4 which is european hiking path and runs through Greece.
